EASE is filming a documentary about Ukrainian IT

The real reason they always win
European Association of Software Engineering started filming the first documentary about Ukrainian IT at the end of last year.
Our mission is to develop the IT brand of Ukraine in the world. After analyzing all platforms and information resources, we saw that there is still no structured quality product, research or material that would show in detail all stages of development, formation of the IT environment, key industry players, achievements and events that laid the foundation of the technological sector of Ukraine.
Our team took responsibility for the creation of a film that will combine the past, present and present of Ukrainian IT.
The film crew visited Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Los Angeles to record interviews with the most famous people, mastodons and young “stars” of the industry.
The onset of a full-scale invasion forced us to suspend filming and postpone the film’s September 2022 release.
But we did not give up the idea. Against the background of recent events, our film crew reformatted the tape and dedicated a separate storyline to the events after February 24 and the cyber front, which played an important role in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
EPAM Ukraine, 3DLOOK, ELEKS, Looksery, Techiia holding, Sigma Software Group, SoftServe, NIX, Uklon, Infopulse Ukraine, Institute of Cybernetics named after V.M. Hlushkova of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine — trendsetters of the IT industry have already shared non-trivial, interesting and exclusive facts about the formation of the industry with our film crew.
