EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE OF THE FILM “THE FIRST CODE”
EASE, together with the film crew, continues to create a film about the history of Ukrainian IT. The other day, episodes were filmed in the walls of the KPI library, which stores exclusive rare publications: courses in technical disciplines, multi-volume collections of scientific works, rare textbooks, works of Ukrainian and world classics of science and technology, biographical dictionaries, reference publications.
This library was a place of strength, inspiration and new knowledge for the trendsetters of the Ukrainian IT industry. We plan to finish filming by the end of 2022, and the teaser will be released in November.
The film is about the history of the start and development of IT in Ukraine and the cyber war with Russia.
“When we started working on the film, we thought that the beginning of the history of Ukrainian IT was 1991. In fact, the start was outsourcing in 1985,” says the film’s general producer Vladyslav Savchenko.
We recorded conversations with Ukrainian startups and companies that have entered the international market. In particular, we are talking about EPAM, 3D Look, Eleks, Looksery, Techiia, Sigma Software Group, SoftServe, NIKS, Uklon, Infopulse Ukraine, as well as the Hlushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
After a full-scale invasion, filming was stopped for a while, but later resumed with an even larger scale to produce an even higher quality product.
